MGL 209a Restraining Orders Empty MGL 209a Restraining Orders

How many times are MGL 209a restraining orders issued in the commonwealth of massachusetts without evidence or due process? There needs to be a push by the legislature to correct the MGL 209a laws so that restraining orders require more than a simple allegation to obtain. 10,000 restraining orders are issued every year in Massachusetts. The burden of proof lies with the Plaintiff. 95% of all MGL 209a applications are extended. You do the math...the system is broken and needs to be fixed!
