Scandurra is hit or miss
I have had an opportunity to watch scandurra on many different types of cases. On some, I've walked away touting what a wonderful judge he is. On others, I've walked away scratching my head as to how he ever was appointed a judge. I'm interested to see what others have to say.
Maybe Christy Mihos will visit and give us his opinion!

I don't think Christy Mihos will be leaving the comfort of FL anytime soon. I've heard he likes the prostitutes more down there.
Judge Scandurra has been there since 1994, so I'm sure there are many people that have more insight.

Re: Scandurra is hit or miss
Judge Scandurra has received a lot of press recently regarding his handling of a case involving a Brazilian woman and her son. The woman alleges that her son has been sexually abused by his Father for the past 7 years. Despite supported 51a allegations of sexual abuse by the Department of Children and Families, charges from the District Attorney's office and other overwhelming evidence, Scandurra has allowed unsupervised visits with the boy and Father. Scandurra has also threatened that he will take custody from the Mother and give sole custody to the Father, if the Mother makes any further allegations.
Patrick Cassidy, of the Cape Cod Times, wrote one of the best pieces I have ever read on the case. The Massachusetts Bar Association President, Edward Ryan, quickly came to the defense of his buddy, Judge Robert Scandurra in an open opinion article in the Times. I hope Mr. Cassidy continues to follow Judge Scandurra's case in the Cape Cod Times. I hate to say it but it seems that judges tend to do the right thing when they know their every move is being followed.
